147th Entry, Brienzwiler

There is quite a bit to report as a breath of fresh air is blowing through the studio. I dispose of dried-up tubes of oil paint on a large scale because today I have bought fresh oil paints, lots of white for mixing since I will be painting eight new white canvases. They will be sun pictures with evening ambiance, textured with sand and glass particles to add depth and dynamics. Everything is ready in my head and tomorrow my hands will begin working.

My wife Franziska thinks that I work too much because I hardly ever take a day off. Last week was the seventh annual Swiss Art Expo in Zürich main station, which I took part in for the fifth time. Yes, the days there are intensive and long. I sleep little and enjoy staying in the nearby Hotel Hirschen. Conclusion: friends become strangers and strangers become friends. As long as the Swiss Art Expo in Zürich exists, I will be there–as long as I continue to be on this earth, of course.

P.S. The series “Sacred Compositions” exhibited for the first time, consisting of 30 pieces (each 30x24cm) produced in 2013-2014 and created to the music of Mozart’s “Requiem” was well received and some were purchased.
