Seylech’s love of classical music forms the starting point for this series of works.
The haunting sound of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Requiem” inspired him to create a series of compositions with a sacred atmosphere. In dialogue with one of the most moving works in music history, he developed images of contemplative depth, translating spirituality, silence, and transcendence into a unique visual language. The melancholy and sorrow of the “Requiem” find expression in compositions of black, silver, and white, presented behind glass in black frames.
As a luminous counterpoint, Seylech devoted the second half of the series to George Frideric Handel’s “Hallelujah.” Light pastel tones and gold on white replace the dark contrasts, while white frames emphasize the works’ radiant lightness and sense of confidence.
Seylech first presented the series in September 2025 at the international SwissArtExpo exhibition in Zurich, where it attracted considerable interest.
