115th Entry, Brienzwiler
To buy back pieces of artwork is presumably uncomfortable for every artist. This is also true for me. Nevertheless, in this case I made an exception.
Once made quite wealthy because of an inheritance, a man generously purchased pieces of art from me and other artists of the Bernese Oberland. Now he is in financial distress. The sincere telephone conversation asking if I would consider buying back one or more pieces at half price prompted me to make a quick and spontaneous decision. On the following day, I drove to him and bought back the following pieces: the sculpture “Ancient” as well as two crystal suns “Fire Vortex” and “Little Sunflower”. With the crystal suns, I am always happy to have a large selection to choose from.
This man came into my life as a patron. To give something back to him to lessen his hardship comes naturally to me. May this act give him confidence and trust in the goodness of life.
