121st entry, Brienzwiler
A spur-of-the-moment excursion with my son David and our dog Bobby to the Flüeli-Ranft near Sachseln makes my artist’s heart beat faster because of the noticeably peaceful spirit there.
We linger by the Melchaa, take off our shoes and bathe our feet in the stream, build stone figures, and are completely absorbed in the moment with the silence and the power of this ideal spot in the middle of nature. As always, I look for specially shaped woods and find what I’m looking for along with two matching pieces of limestone.
P.S. And by the way, in a marriage, you need a lot of humor – a lot of humor.
