148th Entry, Brienzwiler

Referring to my last diary entry, my hands have been busy and hardworking. I have created five oil paintings depicting sunny moments and mountain silhouettes. Now they are stacked up to dry on the top floor of our apartment–once our children’s rooms. Here are a few impressions:

 

I am very pleased with my work. The paintings are drying very well, so when I am in the house alone, I like to set them up in the room and let them work their magic on me. I critically analyze the composition, color gradients, aura and titles of the paintings: Here are a few of them: ‘Golden Mountain,’ ‘Wild Mountains,’ ‘Grey Mountains,’ and ‘Glowing Mountains.’

Working with oil paints allows me to be totally in the moment, to flow freely, wildly, and honestly, and to discover myself in depth. No other materials allow me to work so intensely. I express the light that I discover in my works as the sun…
