123rd Entry, Zürich Main Station

Now, it’s debut time, because exactly one year ago I had the inspiration for these 22 works, which I call Homage to Earth. There are twenty-one works in the dimensions 40 x 13 cm, composed of various natural materials, along with a large crystal sun of 134 cm in diameter, all with a background of oxidized iron (rust effect).

Almost a year passed between the initial idea and its realization. In order to find the right materials, the journey went as far as Jericho in Palestine (artworks 17, 18, 19). For artwork 16, a feather from the red-tailed cockatoo had to navigate all the way from Australia to find me in Brienzwiler. In this way, each work has its own story.

I don’t want to highlight individual works here, rather I want to illustrate how an inspiration that you know in your heart is absolutely right and harmonious can take shape if you give it the space and time it needs.

And yes, it takes courage to show the intimate moments of my soul to other people in the form of delicate artistry, as I am doing right now at the main station in Zurich at the SwissArtExpo from 6-10.9.2023. The whole time I am present here. The days are exhausting because there is no seating for the artists in front of their works. I seek and enjoy contact with the visitors, meet interesting people, and enjoy being here. Whether I sell anything, I don’t know. But this is the adventure of my life as an artist.

Meanwhile, it’s Monday, September 11, 2023. The exhibition is over, and I’ve already cleaned up everything. Nine works were bought, which makes me very happy.

Conclusion: Trust your inner perceptions and have the courage to realize them. The rest will fall into place.
