89th entry, Brienzwiler

I left for Munich at two o’clock in the morning. I urgently need rock crystals, single pieces and groups of medium to very good quality. Pedro is a geologist and Brazilian and has lived in Germany for over thirty years. He has a large stock of various minerals and is a dealer for mineral stores. I have known him for twenty years and appreciate his pleasant and sunny demeanor.

The drive is always a challenge and this time was no different. After the Glarnerland rest area along the Kerenzerberg, I had to make a detour in the darkness and in rain and fog, which took an extra forty minutes. In addition, there were repeated construction sites with reduced speed and traffic jams, which made the trip even longer.

At 9.15 AM. I was finally in Pedro’s magnificent stone and mineral store. I lingered for about 1¼ hours and purchased 2500 Euro worth of mainly rock crystals in different sizes. Afterward, I drove home making only a small stop at the border for custom’s clearance and a light meal.

Tired but satisfied, I arrived home at 5:30 PM. I just unpacked all the minerals and put them on my work table. Let this splendor have its effect on me, and I can hardly wait to get creative with it.

At the moment I am able to work day and night, so many possibilities are waiting for their design. However, I dedicate myself first to the commissions and put my strength into them.

Everything is going well.
